On Sunday Ellie and I went to Edinburgh Zoo. Here are some pictures.
Autumn
Christmas fair at Traquair
Today we went to Traquair House for their free Christmas opening.
‘In Chorus,’ a community choir based in Peebles, did some songs in the courtyard. Ellie thought it was great Here is my attempt to stitch a couple of clips together:
Dinner time
Ben is getting better at feeding himself with a spoon.
Ellie the photographer
I took Ellie and Ben into Edinburgh Butterfly & Insect World today. Ellie wanted to practice her photography skills while we were there. She took these pictures:
Going to see the ducks
Yesterday we went to Greenside Bridge to “see the ducks.” Ben is starting to enjoy being outside now he can walk.
Christmas shopping
Front garden
Ellie and Ben in the front garden last week.
The end of the rainbow
In Peebles today we saw this rainbow emerging from TOPCOP (The Old Parish Church of Peebles).
It only lasted for a couple of minutes.
Learning the alphabet
Ben’s first steps outside
I took Ellie and Ben to Kailzie Gardens today. It’s only a five minute drive from us.
It gave Ben a chance to take his first tentative steps outside in his new shoes, which we bought for him yesterday.
This tree wins autumn hands down.
They have a lovely tea room at Kailzie so we stayed for lunch. They told us that all the highchairs “were booked” so Ben got given this seat harness instead.
In actual fact two of the three highchairs were never used the whole time we were there.
Ellie had egg and toast and learnt how to use toastie soldiers.
