I’m not sure what Ben’s very first word was (though ‘mama’ is in with a good shout), but here are his first words. He’s built up a good little vocabulary.
‘Mama’
‘Dada’ (only recently)
‘Tada’ (Czech for ‘here’)
‘Jeste’ (Czech for ‘more’)
‘Hiya!’
‘Baba’ (bye-bye)
‘Ne!’ (Czech for ‘no’)
‘Go!’
‘There’ (when he brings something to show you).
A couple of weekends ago, we took the kids to Edinburgh’s Camera Obscura. It’s a brilliant attraction in the centre of Edinburgh, full of interactive optical illusions.
One of those rare places that can genuinely claim to appeal to all ages. Highly recommended.
First get them doing some crafts.
Then let them play in the mud.
Take them on a walk.
And let them make you dinner!
